New Offering Envelope Company

We have received questions and concerns about the new donation envelopes. Thank you for bringing these to our attention!

Included in your monthly packets is an envelope addressed to "Pope St. John XXIII Parish" in the address line instead of your name and address. These envelopes can be used when you are out of town or unable to come to Mass. You can simply put your donation in this envelope and mail it to the church.

Otherwise, please use the weekly donation envelopes with your name and address.

A second concern is the name Pope St. John XXIII Parish on all the envelopes, rather than each church building's specific name, like St. John of the Woods or Visitation. Our Parish Family name is Pope St. John XXIII Parish. This is the proper name under Canon Law. Each church building retains its original name. Your donations will remain at the site that you donate it to. While the envelopes may look different, please be assured that your donations remain at the church you give it to and go towards the operations at that site. If you have any other concerns, please reach out to the Parish Office.

Here is the Q&A should people asked about "naming" page 5. https://archseattle.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/QA-Partners-in-the-Gospel-updated-Jan-2024_English-min.pdf

There is a Liturgy meeting tonight at PSPXXIII at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall where it will be discussed along with the two spring Masses at St. Rita (infor below).  Fr. Tuan said that all are invited to attend. I will forward the agenda to you in a separate email.  If you would like to participate in the Stations as a reader, Cross or candle bearer, let me know.

Upcoming St. Rita Masses: Our Church Consecration Day on Saturday, April 26, will include an 11 a.m. Mass and then fellowship with coffee and treats in the church hall afterwards. Cookie or pastry donations will be very much appreciated. St. Rita's Feast Day is on Saturday, May 24. It also includes Mass at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch in the church hall. A freewill donation of a minimum of $10 donation per person for the lunch is suggested. We ask that you RSVP to me by May 10th so that we can plan the food for the lunch. There will be a raffle at the end of the luncheon. Tickets will be sold after both Masses with the drawing on May 24. No need to be present to win.

***** If you would like to participate as a minister at either or both Masses, please let me know in what ministry and I will have one of our organizers contact you.

We hope to see you tomorrow at our Prayer Service. Reminder: next Saturday, March 8, includes the Anointing of the Sick. Invite others from other parishes to join us.

We need parishioners to join our facility team.  Volunteering as part of the facility team is a beautiful way to serve God and your parish community. By helping care for the church, you contribute to maintaining a sacred space where we gather to worship, pray, and seek comfort. Your efforts, no matter how small, help create a welcoming and peaceful environment for others to encounter God. It's a humble and rewarding form of stewardship that allows you to give back to the church that nourishes your faith, while also strengthening bonds with fellow parishioners as you work together for a common purpose.
