Volunteers of our Parish Family at St. Ritas have been busy over the summer keeping the grounds looking beautiful. Thank you to our volunteers who serve the Church by helping with the groundwork at St. Ritas! If you have a green thumb and a desire to help with grounds upkeep at any of our campuses, please contact the Parish Office to find out where you can help.
Dear Friends,
I want to remind you that we are moving our Saturday Prayer time to 10 a.m., starting this Saturday, September 7th. We are hoping the later time will make it easier for more of you to join us. We will meet in the church at 10 a.m for 15-20 minute prayer then on to the church hall for coffee, treats, fellowship and much laughter. If we can grow our group (now 20-30), we may be able to have an occasional Saturday Mass. With the later time, it would be easier for Fr. Tuan or Fr. Hendry to join us. Come prayer with us. With the later prayer time, we hope to offer some extra social events from time to time, ie luncheons, cooking lessons, etc. Our community is important to us and we so enjoy seeing you whenever you can join us.
BIG THANKS to Dan and Kathy Brands for making the outside of our church looking spiffy and brand new. They made repairs and painted doors, railings, etc. You can see the love for our beloved church in their expert work. Also thank you to David Viafore and Eric Nordland for bringing the lawn in front of the church and rectory back to life. They repaired the sprinkler system and reseeded where needed. Most of the work done by the Brands and David was done at their own expense. We can't thank you enough for your dedication to our beautiful church.
We plan on having a fall clean up one Saturday next month. The confirmands from PSJXXIII will give us a day they can help and we will plan around them. They were such a huge help last year when we sorted and boxed up all of the things in the church library/babysitting room. The day will be spent cleaning inside but it is always a fun day. As they say, many hands make light work. There will be refreshments provided, of course!
Keep Fran Laudidio in your prayers.
Please remember that our church depends on donations from our community. You can bring to Saturday prayer or mail directly to PSJXXII. Make checks to St. Rita of Cascia Church and clearly mark envelopes " St. Rita Upkeep." Thank you.
