Walking into the classrooms of PSJXXIII STEM Academy Catholic School, I was immediately struck by an atmosphere filled with joy, curiosity, and a deep sense of faith. From one class to another, I witnessed students brimming with enthusiasm for learning and a strong sense of purpose. It felt as if I had stepped into a thriving garden where spiritual seeds were being sown in rich, fertile soil.
Outside, the pastor played basketball with the students, while the principal encouraged them through a loudspeaker, fostering a sense of unity and encouragement. Inside the classroom, I introduced students to the topic of vocations, particularly the call to the priesthood or religious life. As we discussed the daily lives, habits, and prayer commitments of priests and religious brothers and sisters, I posed a simple yet profound question: “How many of you feel called to become a priest or a nun?” To my amazement, most of the students eagerly raised their hands.
This moment reaffirmed the importance of nurturing vocations in our young generation. The Church is in need of future priests and religious, and exposing children to these possibilities ensures they can discern God’s call in their lives.
PSJXXIII STEM Academy Catholic School stands out not just because of its strong academics but because it cultivates faith, character, and a sense of mission. Here, students aren’t just studying to pass tests; they are growing into individuals who will lead with wisdom and heart. With a strong foundation in both education and spirituality, this school is truly a place where young minds and souls flourish, ensuring a bright future for all.
