Blessing of Animals

Blessing of the animals will take place on October 4th at 4:30PM in front of the hall or in the meditation garden. Please bring your special friends from the animal kingdom to be blessed on the feast day of the one who loved all creatures, St. Francis of Assisi.

Fall Festival & Bazaar

Mark your calendar, Fall Festival is coming Oct 7 & 8 from 10am - 5pm both days. The setup day will be Oct 6. ALL ARE INVITED

Coffee Hour

Come join us this Sunday after the 8am & 11:30am Masses for Coffee Hour and some good fellowship

Senior Lunch

“Senior Lunch” is held every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month. Our next lunch is Wednesday, Oct. 5th at 11:30am in the parish hall. ALL ARE INVITED

Rosary Rally

As we celebrate the 105th Anniversary of the apparitions of Fatima, people all over the country are coming together on Saturday, Oct 15, 2022 at 12:00 noon to pray the rosary for the special intention of World Peace.

We invite all to join us in this Rosary Rally at St. John of the Woods church. Through the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary, we have faith that our prayers will be answered. 

Talents Wanted

Are you interested in being an Usher, Altar Server, Reader (Lector), Church Decorator, Sacristan or maybe Finance ministry, Lazarus ministry, Lazarus reception volunteer, coffee hour helper or a grass cutter?
Just call the office M-F 9am to 4pm and speak with Susan. She can take your name & phone number and pass it to the leader of that ministry. Someone will contact you later. Pray about it! Just do it!

Religious Education

Our second week of Religious Education classes for Pre-school through eighth grade. Classes are on Wednesdays at Pope SJXXIII and Sunday mornings at SJOW. If you have an older young person who missed getting First Communion in 2nd and 3rd grade, we have a class they can attend with other older students. First Communion Class will not accept any registration forms after October 19th.

Pope St. John XXIII: Class Time Wednesdays 6:30 pm. - 7:30 pm

St. John of the Woods: Class time Sundays 9:45am to 11:15am

Feast of Pope St. John XXIII

Archbishop Etienne will be joining us to celebrate our New Parish’s Patron Pope St. John XXIII on Sunday Oct 9th, 2022.

• 9:45am: procession of Pope St. John XXIII icon (around parking lot). Followed by the Solemnity Mass of Parish Feast Day
• Reception after Mass in Parish Hall (entertainment, cake, coffee, drinks, raffle tickets, prizes,...)

All are invited to come and share good fellowship
