Summit Christian Preschool
Summit Christian Preschool (founded in 1972) has a long history of serving children and young families in this community. We are currently enrolling for the 2022-23 school year here at St. John of the Woods Mission. Our faith based, "learning through play" approach has proven very successful. Please see the bulletin and the flyer at the entrance of the church for more details.
Seven Sisters Apostolate
Bishop Etienne has asked for the Seven Sisters Apostolate to grow in our archdiocese. Our goal is to cover every single priest and seminarian with a holy hour every day. We are asking women to consider joining this apostolate by offering one holy hour a week on a certain day for a year for a particular priest. Most importantly, we would want to take care of our pastor and assistant pastors first. Sue Gallwas will be at St. John of the Woods Mission Sunday Aug 28 to speak more about this.
Please contact Sue Gallwas at 253-312-9471. See the website for more information sevensistersapostolate.org

Funeral Team (at St. Rita station) Needed
Are you interested in serving on a team to provide funerals for long-time parishioners at the St. Rita's Station? As part of the merger, St. Rita's was named a Station of Pope St. John XXIII, with the limited authority to celebrate funerals of long-standing members. We are in need of a volunteer sacristan, funeral coordinator and cleaning team in order to offer this ministry. No experience is necessary. The only requirement is a compassionate heart and a desire to serve those who are grieving. Training will be provided by the parish.
Please contact the Parish Office at 253-472-1360 or Jeannine at
