ARCHDIOCESAN CAMPAIGN - ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL 2023

Through the Annual Catholic Appeal, we have the opportunity to support our local Catholic community. This archdiocesan-wide campaign provides vital funding for ministries that serve people and parishes throughout our region. Your gift helps support ministries that bring Christ’s light to others, such as:

• Youth and Young Adult,
• Mental Health,
• Hospital and Healthcare,
• Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) - Camps and Athletics
• Immigrant and Refugee,
• Diaconate and lay formation,
• Priest and seminarian support,
• Support services for parishes,
• and dozens more

This year, the ACA goal of St. John of the Woods is $24,963. We believe we can achieve this with your generosity. All gifts received over our goals will be returned to the parish for our parish project which is “new sound system for the church". The current sound system is beyond it's life expectancy and has had periodic problems recently

SENIOR LUNCH

Our Next Senior Lunch will be Wednesday May 3rd in the parish hall at 11:30am. Please join us and enjoy a great lunch.

BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASS

Class will be offered for parents and godparents who have new born babies and children under 7 years old. Class on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Pope St John XXIII Religious School

We send our condolences to the family the Burke for the loss of Katie Burke, who was a former parishioner of St. John of the Woods. Eternal rest, grant unto her, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

Her funeral will be Friday, May 6 at 12:00pm at St. John of the Woods

MONTHLY BREAKFAST

Join us for the Parish Breakfast Sunday May 7th from 8am to 11am . It’s a great breakfast and a nice time to share with friend and family. We will not be serving after 11:30am Mass so plan to join us early that morning. For your information we will not have coffee hour on the Sunday we have our parish breakfast.

MAY CROWNING

May Crowning and Children's Mass will be May 7, 2023 at 11:30am. Please come and join the children as we honor  Mary.

Reception for CCD students and teacher appreciation follows Mass

COLLECTING ITEMS FOR BABY

We will be collecting new items for newborn to toddlers beginning Mother’s day May 14th thru May 28th.  The collection area will be set up near the sanctuary. Items include but are not limited to t-shirts, blankets, bibs, diapers, clothing. Thank you for your  generosity

SUMMIT CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL

Summit Christian Preschool at St. John of the Woods is now taking registration for fall 2023.

Our faith based program is filled with fun learning opportunities to prepare your child for Kindergarten. We have openings for children who are 3, 4, & 5.
