· We bring communion, pray, and visit our parishioners at: St. Joseph, St. Clare, Tacoma General and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
· Our ministry with those in hospice gives hope to the dying and a lot of courage and comfort to their families.
· We had a Mass and the Sacrament of the Sick for the people at King Manor nursing home yesterday December 3rd at 9:00AM. Also, we have the Communion service every Monday at 9:00AM.
· The Giving Tree tags were displayed starting on the First Sunday of Advent, December 1st, and will remain up until the Third Sunday, December 15th. We will collect the gifts during this time and distribute them to residents in nursing homes and the homebound before Christmas.
· We are also planning a Christmas Celebration for our seniors, which will include Mass and the Anointing of the Sick, on Thursday, December 19th, at 10:30 AM at PSJXXIII. A reception will follow in the Hall, featuring entertainment by the Pre-K class and a raffle with many gifts and prizes. All are welcome to join!
• Ministry of the Poor at Visitation repots: In month of November, we sent out:
Priests, sisters, staff, and The Ministries of the Poor extend our warmest birthday wishes to our amazing second-in-charge of the food bank. Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and compassionate heart. May your special day be filled with joy, love, and blessings!
We need parishioners to join our facility team. Volunteering as part of the facility team is a beautiful way to serve God and your parish community. By helping care for the church, you contribute to maintaining a sacred space where we gather to worship, pray, and seek comfort. Your efforts, no matter how small, help create a welcoming and peaceful environment for others to encounter God. It's a humble and rewarding form of stewardship that allows you to give back to the church that nourishes your faith, while also strengthening bonds with fellow parishioners as you work together for a common purpose.
